Fran Bow is an unsettling adventure game that delves into the harrowing tale of a young girl named Fran, who grapples with both a mental disorder and a cruel fate.
Following the horrific and enigmatic murder of her dismembered parents, Fran flees into the depths of the woods, accompanied solely by her loyal companion, Mr. Midnight, a black cat bestowed upon her by her parents.
In the forest, overwhelmed by the loss of her parents, Fran slips into a state of shock. When she regains consciousness, she finds herself imprisoned within Oswald Asylum—a grim institution for troubled children—and Mr. Midnight is nowhere to be seen.
After experiencing a dream featuring her beloved feline friend, Fran resolves to break free from the mental institution, embark on a quest to locate Mr. Midnight, and return home to her sole living relative, Aunt Grace.
